For much of August I was in Ladakh, participating in Spaceward Bound India 2016.  http://spacewardbound.astrobiologyindia.in/ 

We spent most of our time driving over the high mountain passes near Leh, visiting, the remote valleys, plains, lakes and hot springs in search of microorganisms that can withstand extreme conditions.

We also visited four remote schools.

I drove the world’s highest road, heard the Dalai Lama speak, and saw the Taj Mahal.

I also successfully deployed two arrays of artificial hypoliths, one near Sumdo Lake and one at Tso Kar.
